Thales Avionics Selects Visiprise to Improve Visibility and Tracking

Avionics Leader Relies on Visiprise for Sophisticated Quality Management

ATLANTA and LONDON - March 30, 2004 — Visiprise Inc., the recognized leader in manufacturing execution systems for the electronics, aerospace and defense, and automotive industries, today announced that Thales Avionics, a world leader in aerospace and defense electronic systems, has selected the Visiprise Manufacturing solution to help streamline quality management, enhance business visibility and reduce operation costs.

After an evaluation, Thales Avionics selected Visiprise because the solution makes suggestions as to fault diagnosis and repair information, and tracks repaired items throughout the manufacturing process. This will benefit Thales Avionics in the areas of genealogy-linked defect tracking and test area management. At testing stations on production lines, Visiprise Manufacturing will collect detailed product test information automatically from instruments and provide this to operators for fault analysis. The system will use defect information to develop a failure Pareto chart for the same test failure occurring on a similar unit under test.
